Celebrity top and trendy hair styles for2011

One of the easiest ways to change your look is by getting a hair cut.  It can be as drastic or as subtle as you'd like but the goal is to walk out of the salon feeling gorgeous and fresh.  While everyone is scrambling to get to the gym and lose the extra pounds put on during the holiday season, I say get to your hairdresser and get an instant pick me up!

In many cases a new hairstyle will give the allusion of weight loss and immediately you will have a more confident walk and smile on your face.  Below I have found what are my favorite haircuts and styles to try right now.  Get inspired to become a new you with a brand new do!  If you're not sure which cut will best suit your face, send an email to me at yael@yummymummyclub.ca along with your picture and I'll give you my professional opinion!

Emma Watson -  Yes she is still in her early twenties and has glowing radiant wrinkle free skin, but this pixie cut channeling Mia Farrow in Rosemary's Baby is this season's hot new style,  Just think of the ease this cut can bring to your life, as its sure to trim down at least 30 minutes in your morning routine.  This is a great cut for moms looking for an effortless style that is also very cutting edge.

Katie Holmes - One of my favorite hair cuts ever! This clean and easy cut will look great on various shaped faces and can be styled in multiple ways.  Part it on the side and wear behind your ears for a simple day look or slick it back for a more demure evening look.  The best thing about this cut is that growing it out once the novelty wears off is a cinch!

Victoria Beckham - Very similar to the Katie Holmes look, Beckham's hair has a tousled more “fresh out of bed” look.  Try this style if you are willing to invest a little bit of effort and time into your hair care routine.  This is a perfect look to try if you have fine wavy hair.

Scarlett Johansson - This is the current take on the classic “bob”.  The style is angled longer in the front and shorter in the back with razored ends.  The idea of this cut is to keep it simple and low maintenance. This one is all about the cut and less about the time spent coiffing it and looks best on hair with a little texture and waive.
Olivia Palermo - The original long “bob”, this cut is for the woman who likes her hair to look perfect and well maintained.  This style has a refined regal feel to it and is easily worn by every shaped face.  Try the style with long layers in the front, not around the entire head.
Ashley Olsen - This decades take on the “Farah” cut, with feathered wings and all!  The difference with this style is its focus on definition and flatness.  This is a great cut for a woman with fine straight hair who is not afraid of her round brush.  This cut requires minimal effort and can look great at different lengths.
Bijou Phillips - This weekend I watched a crappy b-list-straight-to-video movie called Wake starring this stunning actress.  While the movie sucked I couldn't take my eyes off her glorious locks!  Her cut is perfect for a woman with ample thick hair.  Parted in the middle with long bang like layers, this look is sexy, current and right on trend with the 70's vibe of the spring/summer 2011 fashion season.
Elle Macpherson - Her hair is a legend and has remained virtually the same for the past 20 years.  For a woman who likes minimal up keep and needs the length to be able to toss hair into a pony tail or bun, this is the perfect cut.  For evening pull out the curling iron and wrap the ends for a few seconds to give hair a bouncy flirty look.  Again this cut works best with a center part.
Reese Witherspoon - If you want the look of a bang but don't want your style to be severe, this is a perfect option.  Reese has kept the length of her hair long and layered and has added thin bangs to create a sophisticated yet playful cut.  This is the cut for you if you have a heart or oval shaped face.
